Pretend Review by Room 13

Review by Neil Richardson @ Room Thirteen website (Full review here)

There seems to be a whole load of singer songwriters out there at the moment, most of them are exceedingly good, after all you must have a lot of talent to be able to go on stage with just yourself and a guitar, with the odd occasions where a few others join you. Young singer, Steph Fraser, is clearly one of the better ones on the basis of her ‘Pretend’ EP. From her soulful vocals, enjoyable lyrics, especially on ‘Ballad Of A Smart Arse’, she keeps you entranced with her talents. These talents have got her gigs not just all over the UK but in Canada too.

However, there is a slight lack of variation to the songs, which although does not affect a four track EP, it may cause an issue if a full length album was to be produced.

One thing is for sure, there will always be a place in the music industry for highly talented artists such as Steph Fraser.
